Teach students the fundamentals of product development by designing a line of eco-themed tote bags.

Over 11 weeks, students formed mini companies: Naruto, Harlem X, and T.L.L.J., and created original tote bag designs centered around sustainability and self expression. The apprenticeship culminated at the Museum of the City of New York, where students pitched their designs in a community showcase.

• Three winning designs were voted on and produced.
• Bags sold online with profits donated to Citizen Schools.
• Students gained experience in branding, design, marketing, and sales.
